• Kanzo Hattori (ハットリ カンゾウ or 服 部 贯 蔵 Hattori Kanzou?) Alias Hattori-kun, is the main character of this series, a little ninja. Hattori was 11 years old with a mass of 40 kg and height 140 cm. • Shishimaru (狮子 丸?) Is a ninja dogs that live with Ken'ichi, come along and Shinzo Hattori Hattori Kanzo. He was light-headed dog who along with Shinzo, often do funny things, and he seems to be eater. Yellow fur.
• Kenichi Mitsuba (三 葉 ケン 一 Kenichi Mitsuba?) Is an ordinary boy who goes to primary school for struggling with learning. He was dating Yumeko, but Kemumaki always after him.
• Tsubame (ツバメ?) (Called Sonam in India version) aka Tsubame-ko, is a kunoichi and classmate of Hattori-kun. He loves Hattori and always wanted to marry him. He did not like Kenichi, Shinzou, Shishimaru, Kimimaki and Kagekiyo. He was wearing his pink ninja. Tsubame seems to have a flute, clarinet, bamboo flute, piccolo and bassoon.
o Kemuzou Kimimaki (ケムマキ · ケムゾウ Kimimaki Kemuzou?) is the enemy of Ninja Hattori-kun. Together with her cat, Kagechiyo Kemuzou, always causing trouble. He competes with Kenichi to get Yumiko-chan, but when he uses one of the ninja techniques in order to always win, Hattori prevent saving of the problem. He was wearing his green ninja.
